Solar of MAMAMOO was honored with the 'Talented Artist of the Year' award at the 'Weibo Gala 2026 Weibo Night of Cultural Exchange', held on April 11 (local time) in Macau. On April 12, Solar expressed her gratitude via social media, stating, "Thank you so much for this wonderful award, Weibo! I will continue to work hard throughout 2026." During the ceremony, she delivered her acceptance speech in Chinese, noting that although preparing Chinese-language music presented many challenges, her desire to grow as an artist helped her persevere. She also shared a heartfelt message to her fandom, Yong Soon, thanking them for their unwavering support.

The ceremony featured a special celebratory performance by Solar, who took to the stage to sing her Chinese single 'Your Own Star', which was released on April 9. The track is a collaboration with the global band Accusefive, and Solar personally contributed to the lyrics, adding a layer of sincerity to the song’s theme of finding one’s place in the vast flow of time. Since its release, the single has seen significant success, reaching number 1 on local iTunes 'Top Songs' charts and receiving critical acclaim for her vocal delivery.

Winning the 'Talented Artist of the Year' title serves as official recognition of Solar’s exceptional vocal capabilities and her influence within the international music industry. Building on this momentum, she is scheduled to hold a solo concert titled 'SOLAR LIVE : Your Own Star' at the Taipei International Convention Center [TICC] in Taiwan on May 10, 2026. Fans are eagerly anticipating the live performance of her new tracks as she continues her solo journey across Asia.
