Son Dam Bi throws luxurious first birthday bash for daughter

Singer and actress Son Dam Bi celebrated her daughter’s first birthday with a lavish party, drawing attention for its grand scale.

On April 12, Son Dam Bi shared photos and a heartfelt message on social media, marking the first birthday of her daughter Hae Yi. “It has been one year since you came into our lives, and the world has become so much warmer and brighter,” she wrote, expressing her deep affection.

She continued, “Your smile, your tiny steps, every moment is a miracle to us. We will always support you as you grow and follow your dreams. Happy birthday, we love you so much.”

The celebration was held at an outdoor venue resembling a wedding, decorated with colorful flowers and fruit arrangements. Son Dam Bi, her husband Lee Kyu Hyuk.

During the traditional doljabi (traditional Korean first birthday ritual where a baby picks an item placed in front of them, symbolizing their future or destiny) ceremony, Hae Yi drew attention by picking up a microphone, following in her mother’s footsteps.

Son Dam Bi married former speed skater Lee Kyu Hyuk in 2022, and the couple welcomed their daughter in April last year.
