Song Min Ho appeared in court for his first hearing related to alleged violations of the Military Service Act.
On April 21 KST, the Seoul Western District Court held the initial trial for Song and his service supervisor, identified as Lee, who are both facing charges. The hearing had originally been scheduled for March 24 but was postponed after Song requested a change in date.
Dressed in a black suit, Song addressed reporters upon arrival, saying, “I will faithfully undergo the trial. I deeply regret my actions,” and added, “I’m sorry for disappointing many people.”
According to the indictment, Song was absent without authorization for a total of 102 days. Out of approximately 430 required working days during his service period, this would account for nearly a quarter of his duty time.
