Actress Lee Soo Bin announces surprise marriage “A joyful chapter in my life”

Actress Lee Soo Bin announced her marriage through a handwritten letter shared on her personal social media account on May 23.

In the letter, Lee Soo Bin wrote that it is “May, when spring is in full bloom and warm sunlight can be felt,” and expressed her gratitude while reflecting on her long career as an actress.

She shared that she has been working since she was very young, saying, “Since I was 4 years old, when my memory is now faint, I have thankfully lived as an actress, learning and sharing many stories and emotions through my work.” She added that while portraying different lives, she often imagined their pasts and futures “sometimes boldly, sometimes joyfully.” She also reflected that, as a timid person, she was able to grow step by step thanks to the love and support of many people.

Lee then revealed her marriage news, saying, “For me, a person has come into my life who stands by my side more than anyone else and supports me in imagining my future together.” She continued, “Now I want to draw a happier future with that person and make a promise of eternity.”

She added that she wanted to share the joyful news while expressing gratitude to those who have supported both “actress Lee Soo Bin and the person Lee Soo Bin,” and apologized to acquaintances she may not have been able to contact personally due to the sudden announcement.

Meanwhile, Lee Soo Bin debuted as a child actress in the 2001 drama 'Stepmother.' She later appeared in dramas such as 'My Liberation Notes' and 'King the Land,' continuing to build her acting career.

"Hello, this is Lee Soo Bin.

It is May again, when spring is in full bloom and warm sunlight can be felt.

Since I was very young, though my memories are now faint, I have thankfully lived as an actress, learning and sharing many stories and emotions through my work. I have met many people over the years, received more love than I deserve, and shared laughter and tears with them.

While acting out various lives, I have empathized with their struggles and imagined their futures, sometimes seriously and sometimes joyfully. But because I am a timid person, I was only able to grow step by step thanks to the love and support of many people.

For me, a person has come into my life who stands by my side more than anyone else and encourages me to imagine my future together with them. Now I want to draw a happier life with that person and make a promise of eternity.

I wanted to share this joyful news along with my gratitude to everyone who has supported and loved both actress Lee Soo Bin and the person Lee Soo Bin, which is why I am writing this letter.
