ALLDAY PROJECT’s Annie shares update ahead of Columbia University graduation

BY Demian09 · May 12, 2026

ALLDAY PROJECT member Annie has given fans a glimpse of her life ahead of her upcoming graduation from Columbia University.

On May 12, Annie posted a video on her Instagram with the caption “D-7,” marking just seven days until her graduation. In the clip, she is seen wearing a light blue graduation gown and holding a cap, celebrating the milestone.

She also added a playful touch by lip-syncing to the intro of Playboi Carti’s song “Magnolia.” The lyrics include lines such as “No cap and gown, I ain't go to class” and “I'd rather die before I come in last.” The contrast between the lyrics and her wearing full graduation attire was interpreted by fans as a witty expression of her journey, balancing an Ivy League education with her career as a K-pop idol, while coming from a prominent business family background.

Annie moved to the United States during her elementary school years and spent most of her academic life there. She is majoring in Art History at Columbia University.

It has also been reported that before her debut, she received permission from her mother, Shinsegae chairwoman Chung Yoo Kyung, to pursue a career in entertainment on the condition that she was accepted into an Ivy League university.

Annie previously paused her studies to focus on her career and had used up her academic leave. She returned to Columbia in January to complete her final semester, noting that she only needed one more term to graduate.

Following her graduation, Annie is expected to fully begin her activities as a member of ALLDAY PROJECT, continuing her career in the entertainment industry.
