Bong Joon Ho’s Animated Film Reveals Star-Studded Cast With Bradley Cooper Joining Voice Lineup

Bong Joon Ho’s upcoming animated film is beginning to take shape, with Bradley Cooper officially joining the project.

According to Variety on May 12, Bradley Cooper has been cast as a voice actor in Bong Joon Ho’s first feature-length animated film, 'ALLY.'

Bradley Cooper is one of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors and producers, known for films such as 'The Hangover' and 'Silver Linings Playbook,' as well as the TV series 'Sex and the City.'

He is also widely recognized among Marvel fans as the voice of Rocket in the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' franchise. In 2024, he additionally showcased his voice acting skills in 'IF.'

Alongside Bradley Cooper, several other actors have joined the cast of 'ALLY,' including Ayo Edebiri, Dave Bautista, Finn Wolfhard, and Alex Jane Go.

The film follows deep-sea fish living in an underwater canyon who become curious about the human world. The story centers on a baby pig squid and its friends as they get swept into an unexpected adventure.

Bong Joon Ho has reportedly been developing the project since 2019. Yoo Jae Sun, director of 'Sleep,' joined the project as a co-writer. Animation studio DNEG is handling the film’s 3D animation production.

Distributor NEON is reuniting with Bong Joon Ho following their collaboration on Parasite. The company recently secured North American distribution rights, while CJ ENM and Penture Invest are participating in investment and distribution.

'ALLY' is aiming to complete production in the first half of next year.
