CLC's Seungyeon recently participated in a special lecture event at University of California, Los Angeles, where she delivered a presentation and dance performance centered on the art and global influence of K-pop performance.
Held on April 8 at Royce Hall Room 314 in California, the event, titled 'Beyond the Stage: Inside K-pop Performance with Seungyeon Chang of CLC,' offered students and attendees an opportunity to gain deeper insight into choreography, stage presence, and the creative process behind K-pop performances.
During the session, Seungyeon spoke about the discipline, creativity, and adaptability required to evolve as an artist beyond the idol stage. Drawing from her experiences performing internationally, leading dance workshops, and participating in cross-cultural creative projects, she discussed how dance serves as a powerful medium connecting music, identity, and global communities.
As the leader and main dancer of CLC, Seungyeon has been widely recognized for her dynamic stage presence and performance skills. In recent years, she has continued to expand her artistic career through choreography, DJ performances, international workshops, and various collaborative projects across Asia, Europe, and North America.
In addition to her appearance at UCLA, Seungyeon also held a similar lecture and workshop at University of Pittsburgh, where she continued sharing her experiences as both an artist and educator with students and audiences.
On April 30, Seungyeon expressed her gratitude through Instagram, reflecting on the meaningful experience and connections formed throughout the event.
"Grateful for the opportunity to share not just performance, but also the conversations and connections behind it. Thank you to everyone at University of Pittsburgh for making this moment so meaningful "
