BY Alec06 · May 19, 2026

DinDin opened up about painful experiences of alleged discrimination and physical abuse during his school years, revealing that the trauma ultimately led him to drop out and study abroad in Canada.

On May 15, DinDin reflected on his past through his personal channel while discussing his time studying overseas.

Recalling his first year of high school, DinDin said his homeroom teacher created an atmosphere of fear from the very beginning by declaring on the first day of class that he “made five students drop out every year.

According to DinDin, certain students were unfairly singled out for bag inspections and other forms of discrimination. He further claimed that he experienced physical violence despite being in the nurse’s office due to illness.

Describing the incidents, he said he was beaten for what he considered unreasonable reasons and later blamed for mistakes made by the class president, which allegedly resulted in additional violence in the teachers’ office.

DinDin emotionally recalled returning home and bursting into tears while looking at his school uniform afterward.

He explained that the situation eventually became unbearable, leading his father to tell him not to return to school. DinDin ultimately decided to drop out and left for Canada to study abroad about a month later.

Meanwhile, DinDin and Rainbow’s Hyunyoung released duet ‘ALWAYS YOU’.
