Forestella's Go Woo Rim reveals Kim Yuna couldn’t eat ramen for years during her skating career

Forestella's Go Woo Rim gave fans a glimpse into his sweet married life with wife Kim Yuna, revealing that the former Olympic athlete was unable to enjoy ramen for years due to the strict demands of her career.

On May 10, JTBC’s 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator' featured the first-ever reveal of Kim Yuna and Go Woo Rim’s refrigerator. During the show, Go Woo Rim shared, “This is the first time we’re revealing our fridge. My wife was a bit embarrassed, saying there isn’t much inside.” He added with a laugh, “We order delivery food pretty often, and she jokingly says, ‘It’s okay because it’s legal.’”

Once the refrigerator was opened, the MCs immediately noticed signs of their love for delivery meals.

Go Woo Rim confessed, “I introduced Yuna to the world of late-night snacks. During her athlete days, she couldn’t eat freely, so she wasn’t really familiar with late-night eating culture.”

He continued, “I really love food. My wife says I’m basically a PhD-level expert when it comes to food combinations. I’m known as the ‘mukbang PhD,’” he joked.

Go Woo Rim also revealed, “My wife loves ramen. She said one of her deepest resentments during her athletic career was not being able to eat ramen at all. Now [that she can eat it], if I cook ramen, she’ll eat it even if she’s already full. She especially likes jjajang ramen.”

The singer also showed off his impressive cooking skills. Having previously appeared on 'Fun-Staurant' and even won an episode, he shared photos of dishes he personally prepared, ranging from Italian cuisine to Korean food. One highlight was a special birthday meal he made for Kim Yuna.

Kim Yuna’s own cooking skills also became a topic of discussion after Go Woo Rim shared photos of her dishes. Proudly praising his wife, he said, “She makes kimchi fried rice unbelievably well. Her Mongolian beef was also delicious.”

During the episode, Go Woo Rim also spoke about his close friendship with Kangnam and Lee Sang Hwa.

He explained, “I became close with Kangnam thanks to Yuna. We even have couple gatherings together. We’ve visited their home before, and recently we had a meal together in Japan. Our couples have very different vibes, though. We’re naturally calm people and don’t really have emotional ups and downs.”

In response, Kangnam said, “Those two match each other really well. Even when they bicker, they look good together. They’re like cats. Meanwhile, we’re more like ‘woahh!’ We’re completely different worlds. Maybe it’s because Kim Yuna was a figure skater while Lee Sang Hwa was a speed skater.”

Meanwhile, Go Woo Rim married Kim Yuna in October 2022 and previously shared how the two first met.
