fromis_9 is set to return this summer with a new full-length album.
Agency ASND announced on May 12 KST, “fromis_9 will make a comeback in July with a full-length album. Since the group is returning with a studio album after a long time, we are putting great effort into creating a highly polished project. Please look forward to new music that captures fromis_9’s unique energy and color.”
The upcoming release will mark the group’s first full-length album in nearly three years following 'Unlock My World', which was released in 2023.
News of the comeback has already sparked enthusiastic reactions from Flover(fandom name), who have long awaited another studio album from the group.
Last year, following the group’s transfer to ASND, fromis_9 continued active promotions with the release of its sixth mini album 'From Our 20’s' as well as digital single "White Memories".
The mini album’s title track "Like You Better" maintained a strong presence on Melon’s Top 100 chart for three consecutive weeks and also earned the group a No. 1 trophy on 'Music Bank'.
The group later matched its highest chart performance by reaching No. 5 on the Melon Top 100 chart with “White Memories.” The song also secured first-place wins on 'Music Bank' and 'Show! Music Core', while topping the weekly Hot Stage ranking on 'Inkigayo'.
In a previous interview, the members shared, “We want to show deeper emotions and a more mature sound. While maintaining fromis_9’s signature color, we’re preparing music with a new texture and atmosphere.”
Known for solid musicality and strong concept execution with every release, anticipation is growing over what kind of music and storytelling fromis_9 will present through its second full-length album.
