G-Dragon has once again proven his unmatched global influence after being announced as the main headliner for the large-scale K-pop festival K-SPARK in Kaohsiung 2026.
G-Dragon will take the stage as the festival’s finale performer on May 30 at Kaohsiung National Stadium in Taiwan. Tickets for the event sold out within just 30 minutes of opening, demonstrating overwhelming local demand.
‘K-SPARK’ is a major K-pop festival series held across key Asian cities. Following performances in Bangkok, Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur, and Macau, G-Dragon has continuously maintained his position as the festival’s main artist through the Kaohsiung event as well.
Festival organizers described him as “a cultural icon representing the sound and style of K-pop,” highlighting his symbolic presence within the global music industry.
This year, G-Dragon has remained active on international stages through appearances at charity events in France, K-SPARK Malaysia 2026, and Dubai’s KRAZY SUPER CONCERT.
Last month, he also drew worldwide attention after taking the stage with BIGBANG at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the United States.
Meanwhile, ‘K-SPARK in Kaohsiung 2026’ will take place on May 30 in Taiwan, while BIGBANG is reportedly preparing a new album and world tour in celebration of the group’s upcoming 20th debut anniversary.
