Han Ga In recalls “worst” award show hairstyle, “poodle hair” look

BY Alec06 · May 24, 2026

Han Ga In candidly opened up about one of her most regrettable award show looks, hilariously describing it as her “worst hair and makeup styling ever.”

On May 24, a Shorts video titled “Han Ga In says her Baeksang styling was the worst (seriously shocking)” was uploaded to her YouTube channel Free Woman Han Ga In.

While getting makeup done in the video, Han Ga In reflected on various styling concepts she has tried over the years, including idol-inspired makeup, romantic fantasy heroine looks, and trendy Chinese influencer styles.

She explained, “People always comment that my usual makeup looks prettier, or that I look better without heavy makeup.” She then added that she wanted to show viewers two different styles: a clean, natural look similar to what she wears for dramas or advertisements, and a glamorous award show style designed to make her look her absolute best.

During the conversation, Han Ga In reminisced about attending a past award ceremony in Hong Kong after starring in the hit drama 'Moon Embracing the Sun'.

She revealed that she had specifically hoped to present an award to G-Dragon, saying with a laugh, “I wanted to see him in person.

Although she complimented the dress she wore at the event, Han Ga In suddenly recalled another styling experience she considered disastrous.

When staff members mentioned the Baeksang Arts Awards, Han Ga In immediately reacted, saying, “Oh, the Baeksang one. They gave me this poodle hairstyle…”

After pulling up photos herself, she exclaimed, “This was seriously so annoying. Look at this,” while showing off the infamous curled hairstyle.

The production staff also reacted in surprise, asking, “What is this? Why was your hair like that?” prompting Han Ga In to jokingly vent, “They made my hair into a poodle.

She later revealed another memorable styling mishap from a stage performance with actor Park Shin Yang, where she apparently wore clown-inspired makeup for a themed performance.

Toward the end of the clip, Han Ga In jokingly pleaded with the production team, “You can show it, but please include some pretty photos too,” causing laughter on set.
