Yeji of ITZY has been diagnosed with a herniated disc, leading to adjustments in her upcoming performances.
On May 5 KST, JYP Entertainment released an official statement confirming that Yeji recently visited the hospital due to back pain. Following a detailed examination, she was diagnosed with a herniated disc and was advised by medical professionals to minimize movements that could strain her back.
As a result, Yeji’s choreography and overall performance will be limited during ITZY’s third world tour “TUNNEL VISION in JAPAN,” scheduled for May 9 and 10.
The agency added that despite the limitations, Yeji is determined to meet fans and will participate in the shows to the fullest extent possible within a safe range.
JYP Entertainment also expressed apologies to fans, stating that they regret causing concern and will prioritize the artist’s health by providing proper treatment and support for her recovery.
Meanwhile, ITZY has been on its third world tour “TUNNEL VISION” since February 13 and is set to make a comeback with its 12th mini album “Motto” on May 18.
