Jadu talks relationship with Kangdoo and hints at reunion possibility

BY Alec06 · May 19, 2026

Jadu, singer and former member of the co-ed duo The Jadu, candidly addressed long-running rumors of conflict between herself and fellow member Kangdoo.

Appearing on radio broadcast, Jadu shared behind-the-scenes stories about the group’s formation and career.

She explained that the group was originally called “Jadu Band,” but after the guitarist suddenly left, saying he could not continue with mainstream music, the team changed direction. Unable to quickly find another guitarist, Jadu teamed up with bassist Kangdoo to debut as a two-member duo.

Reflecting on their years together, Jadu admitted the duo went through many ups and downs.

As we mentioned before on ‘Sugarman,’ there were a lot of difficult moments,” she said. “Back then, we didn’t know how to express anger properly or resolve conflicts maturely. Looking back now, though, they’re all beautiful memories.”

Jadu also addressed the public perception surrounding their relationship, joking that they may have been “the only co-ed duo that never had dating rumors.”

Most co-ed groups get caught up in romance rumors, but we were always busy explaining feud rumors instead,” she said with a laugh. She added that both she and Kangdoo were uncomfortable with any romantic atmosphere, which likely strengthened their sibling-like image.

When asked about the possibility of a reunion, Jadu clarified that ‘The Jadu’ never officially disbanded.

We never declared a breakup,” she said. “Our contracts simply ended, and we naturally went our separate ways. But I think it would be fun if we reunited someday.”

The duo, active from 2001 to 2008, gained popularity with their distinctive sound and energetic performances.
