Actor Ji Chang Wook will meet global fans in a new role as he is officially confirmed as an MC for the world-renowned 'Asia Artist Awards 2026.'
Ji Chang Wook will serve as an MC at the upcoming 'AAA 2026 ceremony,' scheduled to take place in early December in Kaohsiung. This marks the first time since his debut that he will take on hosting duties for a major awards show, drawing significant attention from both domestic and international audiences.
Known for his wide-ranging acting spectrum and high-intensity action performances, Ji Chang Wook has established himself as one of South Korea’s leading actors, often praised for “telling a story with just his gaze.” He has consistently elevated global OTT rankings through hit series such as 'Gangnam B-Side,' 'The Worst of Evil,' and 'Welcome to Samdal-ri.'
Most recently, he appeared in the film 'Colony,' portraying Choi Hyun Seok, a security team member at a high-rise building. His performance was recognized for its emotional depth and strong screen presence, further solidifying his reputation as a versatile actor capable of both nuanced drama and physical action.
The Kaohsiung National Stadium will once again host the ceremony, continuing its role as the venue following the 10th anniversary 'AAA 2025.' The return to Kaohsiung highlights the growing scale and international reach of the event.
Previously, Jang Wonyoung was announced as the first MC for 'AAA 2026,' with Ji Chang Wook joining as the second confirmed host. Additional MCs and lineup details are expected to be revealed gradually in the coming weeks.
The 'Asia Artist Awards' is the first integrated awards ceremony in South Korea to honor both actors and musicians. It has firmly established itself as a leading global awards event, bringing together top figures in K-POP, K-DRAMA, and K-MOVIE to celebrate the year’s most influential achievements.
Organized by Star News, the AAA Organizing Committee (Chairman Park Joon Chul), MOTIVE (CEO Jo Hyun Woo), and D-SOW, 'AAA 2026' will be held over two days on December 5–6 at Kaohsiung National Stadium. Further announcements regarding performing artists and presenters will be released sequentially.
