The Met Gala 2026 returned on May 4 with this year’s theme “Costume Art” and dress code “Fashion Is Art,” transforming the red carpet into a showcase of sculptural couture and artistic fashion. Among the night’s biggest highlights was the strong presence of K-pop idols and Korean actors, who represented major luxury houses while continuing to expand their influence across global entertainment and fashion industries.

Jisoo


Jisoo officially made her long-awaited Met Gala debut, becoming the final BLACKPINK member to attend the prestigious event. Representing Dior as a global ambassador, she wore a breathtaking custom gown created under Jonathan Anderson’s direction for the fashion house. Sculptural floral elements echoed her hairstyle, while luxurious Cartier jewellery completed the elegant look.

Ahn Hyo Seop


Ahn Hyo Seop made his Met Gala debut with Valentino and became the first Korean actor to attend the gala in eleven years. wore a Maison Valentino patchwork tuxedo designed with gold-and-black tapestry textures, traditional frog closures, and a sweeping red scarf. The museum-inspired ensemble transformed his look into a wearable art installation.

Jennie returned to the Met Gala representing Chanel in a glamorous metallic-embroidered strapless column gown. The design featured a structured bustier adorned with blue sequin leaf patterns and reportedly required 540 hours of craftsmanship alongside 15,000 embroidered details. Ningning has been named Gucci’s newest brand ambassador and fir the Met Gala 2026, she embraced dramatic high fashion in a black gown designed under creative director Demna. The striking dress featured layers of structured black tulle arranged into bold sculptural ruffles that expanded around her silhouette.
