Actors Kim Da Mi, Lee Chung Ah, and Jo Aram are officially set to star together in the upcoming drama 'Obedient Killer,' according to a report by MyDaily on May 12.
'Obedient Killer' is a noir drama set in the 1970s–1980s, centered on a woman whose only life plan was to become a devoted wife and homemaker. However, after being unexpectedly pushed into employment to survive beyond her sheltered life, she enters a suspicious company that claims to promote women’s social advancement. There, she gradually discovers an unexpected ability to eliminate people without leaving any trace, leading her into a world of violence and survival.
Kim Da Mi plays Go Dal Boon, a once obedient wife who is suddenly divorced and enters the workforce in order to regain custody of her young daughter. The role marks her return to a powerful character-driven performance following her breakout in 'The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion' and her recent appearance in A Hundred Memories.
Lee Chung Ah takes on the role of Lee Hwa Ra, also known by the codename “Miss Lee.” She is characterized by her sharp, minimalist appearance, including a short haircut, monochrome tailored suits, and an emotionless demeanor. A perfectionist who has trained both body and mind to become the best, she strictly rejects emotional attachment.
Jo Aram plays Gye Sook Hee, also known as “Miss Gye,” a.k.a. the “fight chick.” A naturally skilled fighter, she speaks bluntly and resolves conflict through physical confrontation when necessary. Although she initially fights for what she believes is right, she eventually becomes isolated as a result of her uncompromising nature.
The series is penned by writer Joo Hwa Mi, known for 'The Atypical Family', and directed by Lee Jung Heum, who previously helmed 'Inspector Koo' and 'Our Movie.'
