Kim Ji Won Mesmerizes with New Ethereal Pictorial in Marie Claire Korea Magazine

Kim Ji Won is drawing explosive reactions from fans both in Korea and overseas with her newly unveiled pictorial for the June issue of Marie Claire Korea, in which she serves as an ambassador for Bvlgari.

Marie Claire Korea introduced the pictorial as “the lingering brilliance of dazzling light unfolding atop delicate Korean aesthetics — a radiant encounter between Bvlgari’s Eclectica High Jewelry Collection and ambassador Kim Ji Won, resembling a scene from a legend.” The June issue, commemorating the magazine’s 400th edition, was released with five different covers, along with a cover story pictorial, a large-format poster cover, and an interview with Kim Ji Won.

The pictorial was completed through the fusion of traditional Korean mise-en-scène and Bvlgari’s high jewelry creations. One striking cut features Kim Ji Won standing on water scattered with flower petals while wearing a white dress against the backdrop of a traditional landscape folding screen, evoking the atmosphere of a mythical folktale. Holding a white fan while lowering her gaze, she exudes an intense presence within restrained stillness.

Another photo captures her in a silk dress framed between curtains, staring directly into the camera with a calm yet chilling gaze, set against an oriental painting screen and traditional bonsai trees. In another dreamy shot, Kim Ji Won closes her eyes beneath a blue silk veil as colorful gemstone necklaces and earrings amplify the ethereal mood. A dark-toned cover image, surrounded by flowers, combines a sequined tube top with a red high jewelry necklace, balancing glamour and restraint at once.

The Bvlgari Eclectica collection featured in the shoot is known for expanding high jewelry into the realm of “wearable art,” drawing inspiration from painting, architecture, sculpture, and other artistic fields.
