Actor Nam Goong Min is set to return to the small screen through KBS2’s new weekend drama 'The Husband (The Completion of Marriage).'
On May 27, the production team of 'The Husband' (written by Jung Jae Ha and directed by Kim Jung Hyun and Kim Min Tae) unveiled its casting lineup, confirming the appearances of Nam Goong Min, Kim Dae Myung, Lee Seol, and Lee Sang Hee.
'The Husband' is a crime thriller centered on a man on the verge of divorce who enters a desperate battle against a ruthless criminal to rescue his kidnapped wife.
Nam Goong Min will play Kang Tae Joo, a neurosurgeon and director of Woori Together Hospital. After his wife, who had demanded a divorce, is kidnapped, he becomes both a fugitive and a pursuer.
The drama marks his return to KBS dramas after approximately seven years. He previously appeared in the 2019 series 'Doctor Prisoner,' where he also portrayed a doctor.

Kim Dae Myung takes on the role of Noh Man Hee, the head of a computer academy who hides a cold and sinister nature behind his polite and gentle demeanor. The role is expected to showcase a dramatic transformation from his previous image.
Lee Seol stars as Go Se Yoon, the chairwoman of Woori Together Hospital and Tae Joo’s wife. Torn between resentment and lingering affection toward her husband, Se Yoon eventually becomes the victim of Man Hee’s kidnapping plot.
Lee Sang Hee will portray Kim Kyung Ae, a mysterious woman who suddenly appears before Se Yoon. Though she speaks and acts kindly, she gives off an unsettling sense of discomfort.
Director Kim Jung Hyun, known for works including 'Hyper Knife' and 'Awaken,' will helm the series. He has been praised for maximizing genre-driven suspense and stylish visual storytelling.
Meanwhile, 'The Husband' is scheduled to premiere on July 4 at 9:20 PM KST.
