NewJeans member Haerin celebrates 20th birthday following return to ADOR

NewJeans member Haerin celebrated her 20th birthday shortly after returning to her agency.

On May 15, ADOR shared several photos of Haerin on its official social media accounts along with the message “HAPPY HAERIN DAY.” Born on May 15, 2006, Haerin officially turned 20 years old on that day.

The released images capture a range of her everyday moods and styles. In some photos, she appears in a simple white T-shirt, highlighting a clean, natural charm, while in others, she wears a cap styled backwards, showing a more casual, edgy look. Across the set, fans also noticed her increasingly mature visuals.

NewJeans, which debuted in July 2022, has been undergoing a contractual dispute with ADOR since November 2024. Following a first-instance court ruling in October that confirmed the validity of their exclusive contracts, members Hanni, Hyein, and Haerin returned to ADOR. Meanwhile, Danielle’s contract has reportedly been terminated.

ADOR is currently pursuing legal action against Danielle and related parties, with claims reportedly amounting to approximately 43.1 billion KRW (about 32 million USD) in damages and penalties. The status of Minji remains unclear, although recent reports suggest discussions around her potential future activities are ongoing in a positive direction.

In April, NewJeans members were spotted in Copenhagen, Denmark. Regarding the visit, ADOR stated that it was part of pre-production work aimed at developing a new musical narrative for the group. The agency also added that the members are currently preparing for future activities based on individual conditions and optimized schedules, noting that official updates on their next steps will be announced at the appropriate time.
