JYP Entertainment has released behind-the-scenes cuts from NMIXX’s “Heavy Serenade” music video, continuing the excitement surrounding the group’s comeback.

The photos were unveiled on May 13 following the release of NMIXX’s fifth mini album ‘Heavy Serenade’ on May 11, which features the title track of the same name.
“Heavy Serenade” is a song about deep and confident love, combining lyrical songwriting by singer-songwriter Hanroro with NMIXX’s strong vocal performances. The track has been receiving positive reactions for its emotional spring-inspired atmosphere.
The music video tells the story of NMIXX creating a serenade in order to reach a girl from another dimension. Its emotional narrative and cinematic visuals drew attention immediately after release, with the MV ranking No. 2 on YouTube’s worldwide music video trending chart on its release day.
As of the morning of May 13, the music video had surpassed 10 million views, demonstrating the strong response from fans worldwide.
In the newly released behind-the-scenes images, the members showcased contrasting charms, ranging from bright smiles against blue skies and ocean scenery to dreamy and chic poses while staring directly into the camera.
The album is also seeing strong chart performance. ‘Heavy Serenade’ reached No. 1 on iTunes and Apple Music top album charts in several regions including Hong Kong and Turkey. Meanwhile, the title track entered Melon’s Top 100 chart at No. 60 before climbing to No. 14.
In addition, the performance video released on May 12 has also been receiving favorable reactions from fans, particularly for its youthful movie-like visuals and school uniform-inspired styling.
Online comments included reactions such as, “NMIXX’s new song is so good,” “10 million views already is crazy,” and “The school uniform performance video is amazing.”
