OH MY GIRL's Mimi has just made a surprising confession.
On Netflix's variety show 'The Late Learner, Mr. Jee,' hosts Mimi and Ji Seok Jin invited endocrinologist Woo Chang Yoon as a special guest. The trio began the conversation by asking the question, "How long do you want to live?"
Mimi answered with a positive viewpoint, saying, "I want to live as long as my body allows me to. Good things keep happening in the world all the time, right? It would be so upsetting to die without getting to experience them."
Meanwhile, Ji Seok Jin - who turned 60 this year - revealed his optimistic goals, answering, "I really want to live past 120 years old."
Expert guest Woo Chang Yoon explained the concept of 'well-aging', stating, "Our understanding of aging and longevity is deepening. We need to start preparing now." He explained that while the past concept of 'anti-aging' was centered on fearing and preventing the aging process, 'well-aging' is the opposite. Woo Chang Yoon stated that 'well-aging' is about embracing the natural aging process while maintaining one's physical abilities as much as possible.
Woo Chang Yoon began to offer suggestions on how to reduce inflammation for healthier aging, which caused Mimi to make a surprising confession. She admitted, "I eat ice cream every morning when I wake up. I eat two or three servings at a time."
Endocrinologist Woo Chang Yoon warned Mimi against her unusual habit, saying, "Consuming sugary foods right after waking up can be just as intense of a stimulus to the body as drinking alcohol or smoking a cigarette."
However, Mimi jokingly refused to give up her ice cream habit, arguing that it was beneficial for her health: "I eat it for my mental health and happiness."
