RBW, the agency representing MAMAMOO and ONEWE, issued a renewed notice regarding inappropriate fan behavior at airports.
On May 6, the agency shared a statement through the official social media accounts of both artists, noting that despite previous announcements, incidents of misconduct have continued. These include attempts to film in restricted airport areas, excessive approaches toward artists, and inappropriate methods of delivering letters. Such actions have caused congestion and inconvenience for other passengers.
RBW stated, “Although we have previously provided guidance, there have recently been continued violations such as filming in restricted areas, excessive proximity, and improper delivery of letters. These actions have resulted in on-site congestion and discomfort for other passengers. For the safety and order of everyone, we ask that you carefully review and strictly follow the airport etiquette guidelines.”
Previously, the agency outlined rules via its official website, emphasizing that airports are shared public spaces. Fans were asked to refrain from shouting, chasing artists, unauthorized filming, excessive physical contact, and handing over items. They were also instructed to maintain a safe distance and follow the guidance of on-site staff. RBW warned that failure to comply or interference with operations could result in sanctions.
The agency added, “Not only at airports but also at all official schedules and public spaces, we ask for your cooperation in fostering a mature fandom culture that respects both artists and the general public.”
Meanwhile, ONEWE, originally formed in 2015 as MAS 0094, re-debuted as a five-member band in May 2019 and most recently promoted their track “Ferris Wheel” in January.
MAMAMOO, a four-member group known for their strong vocal performances, debuted in June 2014 and is approaching its 12th anniversary this year. The group is planning a full-member comeback along with a world tour to celebrate the milestone.
