RIIZE's Anton reacts adorably to comment about his mother’s beauty

RIIZE member Anton warmed hearts after speaking about his mother, actress Shim Hye Jin.

As reported previously, Anton and his father, singer-songwriter Yoon Sang, recently appeared on the YouTube channel Fairy Jaehyung. Alongside sharing that Anton had used his first paycheck to buy gifts for his parents as a token of gratitude, he also reacted to a lighthearted conversation about his mother’s beauty.

During the episode, Yoon Sang opened up about why he chose to study abroad, saying, “It was something I had dreamed of since I was young. As I was about to get married to Hye Jin, I thought if we settled in Seoul for our newlywed home, I might never get the chance to study abroad, so I suggested, ‘Let’s start in Boston.’”

When host Jung Jae Hyung jokingly asked, “So that’s when Anton was born? Did you go there to study? What did you really do?” 

Yoon Sang laughed and replied, “That’s right… I farmed. I reaped my children.”

He continued, “When my second child was born, I felt like I should come back to Korea and start earning money.” He added, “I was lucky enough to receive a radio offer from KBS and also a professorship offer. How could I even think about living away from my wife? But she told me, ‘Oppa, go quickly.’”

Jung Jae Hyung then turned to Anton and asked, “Do you know how pretty your mom used to be?”

Anton responded warmly, “She’s still pretty now. You have to tell her she’s pretty often, Dad.”

Yoon Sang laughed and said, “If I say things like that, people will think I’m just being a doting husband.”

Meanwhile, Yoon Sang married actress Shim Hye Jin in 2002. She debuted in 1995 as part of the first open recruitment class of HBS and has appeared in dramas such as 'Model' and 'Partner.' During Anton’s debut, his mother’s appearance became a hot topic on online communities due to her beauty, and she later appeared in a pictorial in July 2024.
