'Zzanbro' is once again facing controversy, this time over alleged sexual harassment involving TXT members Soobin and Beomgyu, leading to widespread criticism from fans.
The drinking-themed web entertainment show hosted by comedian Shin Dong Yup recently released a teaser for an upcoming episode featuring TXT members Soobin and Beomgyu on its official YouTube channel.
However, the preview quickly sparked backlash after a scene showed Shin Dong Yup asking Soobin, “I heard your nipples are gathered like my eyes?”
The situation escalated further when the teaser included a “let’s check right away” segment in which Shin Dong Yup appeared to measure the distance between Soobin’s nipples. Soobin responded by saying he felt “humiliated,” a moment that was later used in a comedic context, which many viewers criticized as inappropriate and outdated humor.
Additional controversy arose when assistant MC Jung Ho Cheol lifted his shirt and exposed his chest during the segment. The production team also added captions such as “shock and horror” and “this is the first time seeing this kind of show,” which further intensified criticism from viewers.
Following the release of the teaser, accusations of sexual harassment spread online. Some netizens criticized the segment as inappropriate, while others argued that the issue stemmed from the show’s handling of alcohol-based entertainment content. Fans of TXT expressed strong concern, with some reportedly considering protest truck demonstrations.
In response to the backlash, the 'Zzanbro' production team quietly removed the teaser without issuing an official apology.
This is not the first controversy surrounding 'Zzanbro'. Earlier this year, the show faced criticism for featuring actors Lee Jae Ryong and Ahn Jae Wook, both of whom have been previously linked to drunk driving controversies.
Shortly after that episode, Lee Jae Ryong was again reported to be under suspicion for drunk driving, which intensified criticism toward the production team for allegedly normalizing alcohol-related misconduct. That episode was also quietly deleted without any official statement or apology from the producers.
