Soyou, a soloist and former member of the group Sistar, has opened up about being rushed to the emergency room after she passed out while filming her recent music video 'Girl.'
On May 11, Soyou uploaded a new video to her personal YouTube channel, titled 'Off Hours: Behind the scenes.' The video showcased the filming process behind Soyou's most recent music video, 'Girl.'
Soyou candidly revealed the terrifying accident that occurred on set, an incident that took place only a few weeks ago. While filming a scene that takes place in the subway, Soyou suddenly fainted and fell down the subway escalator stairs.
She had to be rushed to the emergency room immediately - but returned to the filming set only two hours later, explaining, "Even while I was in pain, all I kept thinking was: we still have to film the subway scene. Figure something out... I was supposed to wait for the CT results to come back, but I told them, 'I'm fine, let's just leave.'"
Soyou mentioned that at the ER, she found out her blood pressure had dropped extremely low, causing her to pass out. She revealed that she had no memory of falling: "I don't even remember screaming."
After an emergency meeting to rearrange the day's filming schedule, the MV director asked Soyou, "We still have a lot left to film - are you sure you'll be okay?"
Soyou answered, "Right now, I'm just repeating to myself, 'I'm not in pain,' over and over again." Earning praise for her professionalism and resilience, Soyou finished filming the subway scene.
