Singer Sung Si Kyung addressed recent dating rumors involving Japanese actress Ayaka Miyoshi.
On May 22, Sung Si Kyung spoke about the speculation in a video uploaded to his YouTube channel while enjoying a meal at a restaurant. The rumors emerged after the two appeared together on the Netflix variety show 'K-foodie Meets J-foodie' and later participated in a couple-style photoshoot for Allure Korea. Their natural chemistry in the pictorial quickly sparked online discussions about a possible romance.
During the video, Sung Si Kyung said, “In the past, when I ate something delicious, I would think of Yutaka Matsushige brother. But these days, I sometimes think Ayaka Miyoshi would really enjoy this place.” However, he firmly denied being romantically involved with her, adding, “It’s not that I’m in love.”
He continued by mentioning the public reaction to their interactions, saying, “There are so many comments telling us to date. But Ayaka Miyoshi has her own position too, doesn’t she?” He described her as “very pretty, lovely, and charming,” but stressed that their relationship is “absolutely not that kind of male-female relationship.”
Sung Si Kyung also admitted feeling awkward having to clarify the rumors, saying, “It’s embarrassing to even explain this. It feels like I’m getting ahead of myself,” adding that he wondered how Ayaka Miyoshi might feel if she saw the comments online.
Meanwhile, Ayaka Miyoshi was born in 1996, while Sung Si Kyung was born in 1979, making them 17 years apart in age.
