TVXQ's Changmin marked Children's Day with a meaningful act of generosity, donating 55 million KRW (about 37,330 USD) to support young patients in need.
According to Samsung Medical Center on May 5, the singer contributed the donation to the hospital’s Pediatric Patient Happiness Fund. The fund is dedicated to easing the financial burden of medical expenses for children and adolescents facing economic hardship, allowing them to focus fully on treatment and rehabilitation.
Changmin shared his heartfelt motivation behind the donation, stating, “I wanted to offer even a small source of strength to children who are spending difficult times in hospital rooms, even on Children’s Day. I hope they can regain their bright and healthy smiles and freely pursue their dreams.”
The artist has continued his philanthropic efforts on meaningful occasions. Last Christmas, he also donated 50 million KRW (about 33,942 USD) to the same hospital, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to supporting young patients.
