aespa releases "LEMONADE" remixes from Zedd, Marlon Hoffstadt, and 2Spade

aespa released a series of remixes for “LEMONADE,” the title track from their recent album of the same name. 

The song has been reimagined by a standout lineup of globally acclaimed DJ-producers, including Zedd, Marlon Hoffstadt, and 2Spade, each bringing a distinct sonic approach to the track. 

Released across three consecutive days from June 1 to 3 via SM Entertainment, the remixes offer new ways to experience the title track’s dynamic energy while expanding on the sound of the original. 

“LEMONADE (Zedd Remix)” brings Grammy-winning producer Zedd’s signature melodic production and festival-scale energy to the track, building from an atmospheric intro into a powerful, bass-driven drop. 

“I’ve been a fan of aespa for a while now, so getting the chance to remix ‘LEMONADE’ was incredibly exciting,” said Zedd. “The original record immediately sparked ideas for me, and I wanted to create something that stayed true to the song while bringing my own DNA into it. I can’t wait to play it all summer!” 

Berlin-based DJ and producer Marlon Hoffstadt reinterprets the track through his hard-groove sound, adding acidic textures, a faster tempo, and a rave-inspired edge rooted in the European dance music scene. “When the icons aespa dropped ‘LEMONADE,’ I couldn’t resist remixing the track,” Hoffstadt said. “I wanted to keep all the attitude of the original while bringing it into the world of DJ Daddy Trance.”

The final remix comes from 2Spade from ScreaM Records, SM Entertainment’s electronic dance label. He amplifies the original with heavy bass, sharp electronic textures, and an electrifying drop, highlighting his powerful blend of hip-hop and electronic influences. 

“I felt that the color and energy of ‘LEMONADE’ fit really well with my own musical style, which made the remix process especially enjoyable,” 2Spade said. “While working with elements of the original track, I focused on blending its identity naturally with my own signature sound design. I wanted to preserve the original’s core appeal while bringing as much of my own color and energy to the remix as possible.” 

The original “LEMONADE” is an electronic dance track powered by a bold, infectious synth bassline. Inspired by the phrase “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,” the song captures a message of turning pressure and challenges into confidence and opportunity, while reinterpreting the bright, refreshing image of lemonade through aespa’s distinct sonic and visual lens. 

Meanwhile, aespa dropped their second full-length album ‘LEMONADE’ on May 29. The title track marked the group’s highest-ever debut on Spotify’s Global chart. The release comes ahead of aespa’s upcoming Lollapalooza performance this August, followed by their 2026-27 world tour, ‘LIVE TOUR - SYNK : COMPLæXITY.’
