BOYNEXTDOOR has taken Japan by storm, with the group's first full-length album reaching the top of a major local music chart.
According to the latest Oricon chart released on June 16, BOYNEXTDOOR's first studio album, 'HOME,' debuted at No. 1 on the Weekly Album Ranking.
The album sold 159,000 copies in Japan during its first week of release. It had already claimed the top spot on Oricon's Daily Album Ranking after surpassing 130,000 copies sold on its first day.
'HOME' is a deeply personal project that reflects the emotions and memories BOYNEXTDOOR has experienced since their debut. The album weaves together a wide range of feelings, resulting in the group's most autobiographical work to date.
Unlike the group's previous releases, which featured contributions from only some members, all members participated in the production of 'HOME.' The project highlights the group's growth and evolving musical capabilities.
The album also became BOYNEXTDOOR's fourth consecutive million-selling release in first-week sales. According to Hanteo Chart, 'HOME' sold 1,085,715 copies during its first week.
The title track, "VIRAL," has also been gaining momentum. The song debuted at No. 68 on Melon's daily chart on its release day and continued climbing, reaching No. 33 on the June 14 chart.
Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR is set to perform at the 35th Seoul Music Awards, which will be held on June 20 at the Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon.
