Former Apink member Hong Yu Kyung shares 18-week pregnancy update and growing baby bump

Hong Yu Kyung, a former member of the girl group Apink, has shared her latest updates at 18 weeks pregnant, offering fans a glimpse into her exciting daily life as an expectant mother.

Recently, Hong Yu Kyung posted several photographs on her personal social media account along with the caption, "Ever since passing the 16-week mark, my belly has suddenly been popping out day by day."

In the released images, Hong Yu Kyung caught the attention of fans by revealing a visibly prominent baby bump, a stark contrast to her previously slender figure. She affectionately cradled her stomach, adding, "Now I completely understand why everyone instinctively rests their hand on top of their belly..."

Hong Yu Kyung also candidly shared how she is adapting to her changing body, writing, "My clothes are slowly starting not to fit, so I purchased pleats wear for the first time, and it’s actually much better than I expected!" The natural, effortless photos of her in comfortable, breathable maternity wear garnered warm responses and empathy from fellow mothers.

Furthermore, she shared glimpses of a weekend outing with her husband to look at baby products. "Browsing strollers and navigating a hectic weekend outing for baby gear as a soon-to-be mom and dad," she shared. "We still don't really know what's what, but we'll study up hard and visit again."

She added, "Even our accidental matching pleats look was totally perfect!" alongside cozy photos of her and her husband holding hands while browsing baby products at a department store, melting the hearts of her followers.

Earlier on June 1, Hong Yu Kyung had personally announced her pregnancy to a flood of congratulations, stating, "A beautiful angel has found its way into my belly. I have finally reached the stable 16-week mark and can officially announce my pregnancy."

Meanwhile, Hong Yu Kyung made her musical debut with the group Apink in 2011 but left the team in 2013 to fully focus on her academic studies.

She tied the knot with a dermatologist in 2023. More recently, she attended the wedding of her former groupmate Yoon Bomi, demonstrating their unchanging, long-lasting friendship and bringing immense joy to longtime fans.
