Girls’ Generation’s unofficial unit HyoRiSoo — consisting of Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Sooyoung — is finally set to make its long-awaited debut.
On June 20 KST, a new episode of Hyoyeon’s YouTube series was released under the title, “Weren’t HyoRiSoo Supposed to Go to YG? Why Are We Secretly Getting a Debut Song Here? | Fake Kim Hyoyeon | HyoRiSoo Debut Project Ep. 3.”
The newly released video follows the trio visiting SM Entertainment in search of a debut song. Executives and staff jokingly teased them, asking, “Weren’t you going to YG?” and “Shouldn’t you be getting a song from Teddy instead?” drawing laughter throughout the episode.
Fans responded enthusiastically online with comments such as, “How did Taeyeon manage to lead a team with these members? Is this why she became a homebody?”, “The song is actually really good,” and “Will Yuri’s next drama be okay after this?”
HyoRiSoo was originally formed through Hyoyeon’s YouTube channel, 'Hyoyeon’s Level Up'. What began as a mockumentary-style comedy project has steadily gained momentum and popularity, leading to appearances on major variety programs. The unit is set to appear on 'You Quiz on the Block' and will also guest on 'Hangout with Yoo' as anticipation for its official debut continues to grow.
