
Singer-actress IU is drawing attention after being spotted at a wedding, where she shared a heartwarming moment with child actress Kim Tae Yeon and reportedly performed a congratulatory song for the newlyweds.
On June 14, Kim Tae Yeon's mother shared photos on social media, writing, "Tae Yeon's absolute favorite person in the world, IU unnie! My daughter's wish came true when she met IU right next to her at a wedding."
The photos showed IU and Kim Tae Yeon posing together as wedding guests. Kim Tae Yeon's mother also praised IU's kindness, saying, "Even though it was just a small gift, IU paid attention to Tae Yeon's feelings and thanked her until the very end. Such a kind person." She added, "Both Tae Yeon and I were touched several times. Jieun, please always stay healthy and happy."
IU and Kim Tae Yeon formed a special bond through the Netflix series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' released last year. Kim Tae Yeon portrayed the younger version of IU's character Ae Soon, leaving a strong impression on viewers. Their continued friendship after the series has delighted fans.

Meanwhile, IU recently addressed criticism surrounding the MBC drama 'Perfect Crown,' which became embroiled in controversy over historical inaccuracies and distortions. She apologized, saying, "As the lead actress of the project, I feel deeply sorry for disappointing many people and for not showing a more responsible attitude."
