Singer-songwriter Lee Seung Yoon teamed up with animation director Jung Da Hee for the music video of his new single 'Mueol Humchiji' (What to Steal). A teaser dropped on his official YouTube channel on June 23.
The track is one of the double title tracks from his 4th album '0-jip' (Album 0), set for release on June 26.
The teaser shows a 'letter character' writing letters through the night, tying them with string, and heading out into the world. The character hides letters in cracks and crevices, and the clip ends as someone finds one of the hidden messages.
Jung Da Hee is known for her distinctive animation style. Her direction aims to make the video feel like a short animated film, blending soft textures with a warm story.
'Mueol Humchiji' deals with self-discovery through learning from others. The lyrics touch on long-held values and how we approach life, ending with the thought that "the world is not as rusty as I thought, and it doesn't hate me."
'0-jip' is Lee Seung Yoon's first album in about a year and eight months since 'Yeokseong'. It has 29 tracks — recomposed and re-recorded versions of songs he wrote alone about 10 years ago, spanning rock, modern rock, folk, and ballad.
Lee Seung Yoon started out as a finalist in the 2011 MBC University Song Festival and was part of indie band 'Ttabaen' before going solo in 2016. He rose to fame after winning JTBC's 'Sing Again' in 2020.
