MAMAMOO members Hwasa and Wheein candidly opened up about a past drunken fight that escalated into a physical altercation.
On the June 8 episode of the YouTube channel 'Zzanbro Shin Dong Yup,' MAMAMOO members Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa appeared together as a full group and reflected on their 12th debut anniversary while sharing behind-the-scenes stories from their dorm days.
During the episode, Hwasa and Wheein drew laughter as they recalled a “drunken brawl” that happened during a schedule in Japan. The two, who have been close friends since middle school, revealed that after drinking, they started playfully roughhousing on a bed in their dorm before emotions escalated into an actual fight involving punches and kicks.
Wheein said, “I usually remember things even when I’m drunk, but Hwasa is the type to completely black out,” adding, “The next day, both of our memories were fragmented.”

The pair admitted they stayed in a cold war for over a week afterward and barely spoke to each other.
Solar, who witnessed the aftermath, shared, “They wouldn’t even make eye contact in the waiting room and would talk through me instead. That’s when I realized they had a huge fight.”
However, Hwasa explained that the experience ultimately strengthened their friendship.
“We really fought hard. The dorm room was completely trashed,” she said. “But after going through something like that, we actually became much more comfortable with each other.”
Moonbyul agreed, saying, “Because they fought so much, they’re even closer now.”
Meanwhile, the members also looked back on their early debut days living in a rooftop apartment and discussed royalties. Moonbyul joked, “Just because I have a lot of copyrighted songs doesn’t mean I’m insanely rich,” while Hwasa reminisced, “The days when we lived in that rooftop room and looked up at the sky were the happiest times.”
