MONSTA X is set to bring back its self-produced variety content 'MON MUK GO' with a special new edition, marking the series' return after a 10-month hiatus.

On June 12, the group unexpectedly released a teaser video titled 'MON MUK GO Together in Gyeongju TEASER' through its official YouTube channel. The announcement was met with enthusiastic reactions from fans, as it marks the first new installment of the series since the Han River-themed episode released in August 2025.

In the teaser, the members travel to Gyeongju, a city long associated with school excursions in South Korea. Embracing the concept of a school trip, the members take on the roles of students while attempting to complete a mission called 'Gyeongju Four-Cut', which involves creating a series of memorable photo moments throughout their journey.

What initially appears to be a lighthearted trip quickly takes an unexpected turn when the members learn that a hidden "mafia" participant has been secretly assigned to sabotage their mission. The revelation transforms the outing into a tense game of deception, accusations, and psychological warfare.

As suspicion spreads among the members, they launch an intense hunt for the hidden saboteur. During the teaser, Shownu jokingly defends himself with a good-natured smile, saying, "The production team wouldn't possibly give me the mafia role during one of these rare 'MON MUK GO' filming opportunities we have a few times a year. You have to think carefully." His defense, however, only fuels further suspicion from the others.

Meanwhile, Jooheon raises his suspicions by claiming, "Minhyuk hyung purposely pushed the photographer role onto me at the end." This prompts Minhyuk to express his frustration and defend himself, showcasing the group's signature competitive chemistry.

Known for their unpredictable group dynamics, MONSTA X appears poised to deliver another installment filled with humor, betrayal, and friendly chaos.

The special edition of 'MON MUK GO' will consist of three episodes, with the first episode scheduled to premiere on June 19 at 8:30 PM KST.
