OMEGA X’s Junghoon leaves group due to health concerns, announces new beginning

OMEGA X member Junghoon is stepping away from group activities due to ongoing health concerns and personal career considerations, according to the group’s agency IPQ.

In an official statement released on June 1, IPQ confirmed that after a long period of discussions with Junghoon and the remaining members regarding the group’s future direction, it was mutually decided that he would conclude his official activities as a member of OMEGA X as of June 1, 2026.

The agency explained that Junghoon’s decision came after sustained health issues accumulated over years of promotions, alongside continued reflection on his future career path. “We have continuously discussed ways for him to return to group activities, but determined that his current situation could persist for a prolonged period,” IPQ stated.

OMEGA X will continue its activities with the remaining 10 members. The agency added that the group, despite various challenges, has remained committed to its fans and will continue striving to deliver stronger music and performances under the OMEGA X name.

Junghoon also shared a personal message with fans via social media, reflecting on his journey since debut. “Since April 19, 2019, I have experienced many moments on stage I will never forget,” he wrote, adding that both rewarding and difficult times had shaped his career.

He expressed gratitude toward fans, saying their support had helped him endure difficult periods. “The past seven years will remain unforgettable memories and a deeply emotional chapter of my life,” he noted.

Addressing his decision, Junghoon said it came after long and careful discussions with his agency. He thanked fellow members, staff, and fans for their support throughout his career.

He also emphasized that this is not an ending but a new beginning. “I see this as a fresh start rather than a conclusion, and I will work to return with better music and a better version of myself,” he said. He concluded his message by thanking fans once again, saying, “FOR X, I sincerely love and appreciate you.”

Junghoon originally debuted in 2019 with the group ENOi before re-debuting with OMEGA X in 2021. Within the group, he served as a main dancer and participated in producing. OMEGA X will continue forward with a 10-member lineup.
