Park Ji Hoon faces fan backlash over guest tickets and controversial fan interactions

BY Minsoo-Kim · June 3, 2026

Singer and actor Park Ji Hoon has become the subject of online debate after photos from his recent fan concert sparked controversy over both guest ticket distribution and what some fans described as overly intimate fan service.

The discussion began after a female attendee shared photos and a review of the event on social media, revealing that she had attended the concert through complimentary tickets reportedly provided by an acquaintance working in the entertainment industry.

The post included photos of the tickets as well as several selfies taken with Park Ji Hoon backstage.

While guest tickets are not uncommon at entertainment events, some fans expressed frustration, claiming they had struggled through highly competitive ticket sales only to learn that a significant number of invitation seats may have been distributed.

Comments circulating online included criticism such as, “Fans went through a ticketing war while others were invited for free,” and “Those seats should have been made available to paying fans instead.”

The controversy grew further after fans focused on the nature of the interactions shown in the photos.

In several images, the female fan appeared to touch Park Ji Hoon’s face, hold his chin, and poke his cheek while posing for selfies. The fan also described the interactions in her post, writing that Park Ji Hoon had willingly allowed the poses and moved closer for photos.

Some fans argued that the level of physical contact went beyond typical fan service.

“This doesn’t look like ordinary fan service anymore,” one fan wrote online. Others described the interactions as “girlfriend-level touch” and questioned why such close contact appeared to be permitted for a specific fan.

Critics also argued that the issue was not simply about physical contact itself but about perceived favoritism. They claimed that many fans who purchased tickets through official channels rarely have opportunities for such interactions, making the situation feel unfair.

At the same time, supporters pushed back against the criticism, arguing that the photos captured harmless fan interactions and that Park Ji Hoon has long been known for being friendly and accommodating toward fans.

Some also noted that invitation tickets for industry guests, staff, and business partners are common practice in the entertainment industry and should not automatically be viewed as preferential treatment.

Nevertheless, the combination of the guest-ticket revelation and the close-contact photos has fueled debate across social media, with some fans questioning the agency’s event management and communication with the fandom.

As of now, neither Park Ji Hoon nor his agency has publicly commented on the controversy. However, discussion continues online, with fans divided over where the line between generous fan service and perceived favoritism should be drawn.
