
RIIZE and BOYNEXTDOOR landed in the top 10 of a major K-pop chart immediately after their latest comebacks.
On June 24, Melon unveiled its weekly Global K Chart for the June 15–21 tracking period. The chart combines K-pop performance data from South Korea, China, and Japan. Recent boy group comebacks had a noticeable impact on the rankings. RIIZE returned on June 15 with its second mini album II, climbing to No. 2 on the Global K Chart.
The group saw a sharp rise in song streams following the release. Not only did tracks from the new album gain traction, but previously released songs also experienced repeat plays. Fan activity metrics also rose quickly.
BOYNEXTDOOR came in at No. 6. The group had made its comeback in August with its first full-length album 'HOME,' and strong fandom activity was reflected in the latest chart performance.
Girl groups also made their presence felt. i-dle recently pre-released "Crow," a track from its ninth mini album, and ranked No. 11 as fan support intensified.
BABYMONSTER also entered the chart after releasing the digital single 'Sugar Honey Iced Tea' on June 8. The summer-themed track landed at No. 14. The rest of the upper rankings remained largely unchanged. BTS held on to No. 1, powered by the strength of its fandom, ARMY. aespa and CORTIS followed at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.
ILLIT also continued its strong run. The group has remained near the top of the Global K Chart since last month and proved its staying power again by taking No. 5 on the latest weekly ranking.
Meanwhile, the Global K Chart will be tied to select award categories at the Melon Music Awards, which will be held on November 14 and 15.
