‘Sing Again 4’ contestant Kim Yoon Seol passes away at 27

Kim Yoon Seol, known as contestant No. 6 from 'Sing Again 4,' has passed away at the age of 27.

According to reports from the music industry on June 9, Kim Yoon Seol died on June 7, and her funeral was held on the same day. She will be laid to rest at the Seongnam Memorial Park.

A close acquaintance of the late singer shared the news via social media, writing,Seol has gone to heaven. Her phone and all accounts were locked, so I am sharing this through Instagram. Please keep her company on her final journey so she is not alone.”

Kim Yoon Seol first rose to prominence after winning Mnet’s 'The Voice Kids' in 2013. She later continued her music career by appearing on programs such as 'The Voice of Korea season 3' and 'I Can See Your Voice 7.' She most recently appeared on 'Sing Again 4,' where she performed as contestant No. 6 and successfully advanced past the first round, marking a renewed step into the public eye.

In one of her last social media posts on May 23, she expressed her continued passion for music, writing, “I am now singing again under my own name. I hope my songs can bring small happiness wherever they reach.”

Following the news of her passing, tributes have poured in from fans and fellow artists. Kim Jae Guk, vocalist of the band T.A.-Copy who appeared alongside her on 'Sing Again 4,' also paid his respects on social media, saying,Kim Yoon Seol, who appeared as contestant No. 6 with us, has gone to heaven. She was such a kind person.”
