
Actress Song Hye Kyo is parting ways with her longtime agency after 14 years together.
On June 26, UAA announced that its exclusive contract with Song Hye Kyo had recently expired.
"Our exclusive contract with Song Hye Kyo has come to an end," the agency said. "We have decided to conclude our journey together while sincerely wishing each other the best in our respective futures."
The agency reflected on their long partnership, adding, "During her time with UAA, Song Hye Kyo received love not only in South Korea but from audiences around the world. The years we shared together will remain happy memories."
UAA also asked fans to continue supporting the actress as she begins a new chapter.
"We kindly ask fans to give Song Hye Kyo their warm interest and encouragement as she embarks on a new beginning," the agency said.
Song Hye Kyo also expressed her gratitude in a message shared on social media the same day.
"I was truly happy and grateful for the time I spent with UAA," she wrote. "Every moment we shared will always remain a precious memory in my heart. I sincerely wish everyone at UAA all the best."
Song Hye Kyo became UAA's first signed artist when she joined the agency in 2012. During their 14-year partnership, she starred in several hit projects, including 'Descendants of the Sun' and 'The Glory.'
The actress is currently preparing for the release of the upcoming Netflix series 'Tantara,' written by acclaimed screenwriter Noh Hee Kyung. The series also stars Gong Yoo and Kim Seol Hyun.
