BY Demian09 · June 10, 2026

Girls' Generation member and actress Sooyoung has drawn public attention after sharing recent moments from her trip to Japan shortly after news broke of her breakup with actor Jung Kyung Ho.

On June 9, Sooyoung posted several photos on her social media account, accompanied by emojis including meat, flowers, hearts, and beer, reflecting scenes from her schedule in Japan.

In the released images, Sooyoung is seen smiling brightly in a casual outfit consisting of an AC/DC logo T-shirt paired with a brown skirt, posing in a narrow street. Other photos show her in a black dress during what appears to be a shoot, along with candid moments featuring Japanese-style skewers, premium wagyu beef, and a beer toast, capturing both her travel experience and daily activities.

Her relaxed expressions and cheerful mood in each photo have especially caught fans’ attention as the post came shortly after the announcement of her breakup.

Earlier the same day, the agencies of Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho confirmed that the two have recently ended their romantic relationship and decided to remain supportive colleagues.

The couple, both alumni of Chung-Ang University’s Department of Theater and Film, reportedly met through church connections before beginning their relationship in 2012. They went public in 2014 and were widely regarded as one of the entertainment industry’s longest-standing celebrity couples, maintaining a relationship for 14 years. Despite repeated marriage rumors over the years, they have ultimately chosen to go their separate ways.

Following Sooyoung’s post, fans responded with an outpouring of support. The post quickly garnered nearly 500,000 likes and more than 5,000 comments.

Messages from fans included encouragement such as “We’ll always support you,” “Respect your decision,” “I hope you find happiness,” and “Are you okay?,” reflecting both concern and encouragement.

Previously, breakup rumors surfaced when the couple was seen unfollowing each other on social media late last year. At the time it was dismissed as speculation, but they are now confirmed to no longer follow each other.

Meanwhile, Sooyoung continues to remain active, balancing her acting career with activities in Japan and other entertainment projects.
