Stray Kids member Felix has been selected as the cultural artist for the 2026 Hanbok Wave project, helping introduce the beauty of traditional Korean attire to audiences around the world.
On June 17 KST, South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that Felix will participate in this year’s Hanbok Wave initiative, a program designed to promote Korean hanbok brands through collaborations between leading cultural figures and hanbok designers.
The project, organized in partnership with the Korea Craft & Design Foundation, supports the development of hanbok products while raising global awareness of Korea’s traditional clothing industry.
Previous Hanbok Wave ambassadors have included former figure skating champion Kim Yuna, singer-actress Suzy, actress Kim Tae Ri, and actor Park Bo Gum, all of whom helped highlight the cultural value and modern appeal of hanbok.
Now in its seventh year, the program will see Felix bring hanbok to a new generation of global fans. Hanbok companies interested in collaborating with the Stray Kids star can apply through an open recruitment process running from June 17 to July 10.
Jeong Hyang Mi, Director General for Arts and Culture Policy at the ministry, expressed optimism about the partnership, saying the project could help establish hanbok as “fashion people around the world want to wear,” particularly among fans in North America and Europe.
With Stray Kids continuing to expand its international influence, Felix’s participation is expected to further elevate global interest in Korean culture and traditional fashion.
