Tablo reveals Haru’s RIIZE lyric contribution was selected anonymously

BY Minsoo-Kim · June 9, 2026

Tablo has addressed growing interest in his daughter Haru’s participation as the sole lyricist of RIIZE’s upcoming title track, emphasizing that the opportunity was earned through a blind review process.

On June 8 KST, Tablo interacted with fans through Epik High’s fan communication platform. When a fan commented that Haru’s solo lyric credit was impressive and mentioned reports that SM Entertainment uses blind evaluations for song submissions, Tablo responded, “Yes, that’s how it was selected.”

His response was widely interpreted as a clarification that Haru’s work was chosen on its own merit rather than through personal connections.

Recently, Haru attracted attention after being credited as the sole lyricist of ‘Do your dance,’ the title track from RIIZE’s second mini album ‘II,’ scheduled for release on June 15.

This is not Haru’s first creative project. She previously participated alongside her father in writing lyrics for To me from me and was also credited for subtitle translation work on the film Nirvana the Band, a project in which Tablo and broadcaster Moon Sang Hoon were involved.

Tablo recently shared another update on his daughter, telling fans that Haru is currently preparing for both SAT and AP exams. AP courses allow high school students to take college-level classes and exams, while the SAT is a standardized test commonly used for U.S. college admissions.

With songwriting, translation work, and academic achievements already drawing attention, Haru continues to build an impressive résumé while carving out her own path beyond her famous parents.
