TREASURE has successfully launched a "second act" in their career, embracing a full hip-hop concept with their 4th mini album 'NEW WAV' and title track 'IF I', JTBC reported on June 24, 2026. The group's return on June 1 marked their first album entirely composed of hip-hop tracks.
The mini album 'NEW WAV' achieved over 1 million pre-orders, becoming a "million-seller" and recording nearly 600,000 sales on its first day of release. The music video for 'IF I' quickly earned attention, surpassing 100 million views on YouTube in approximately 12 days, marking the fastest record for a TREASURE music video.
This successful comeback also saw TREASURE achieve their first-ever win on Mnet's 'M Countdown' after six years since their debut. The album's production was overseen by YG Entertainment's general producer Yang Hyun Suk, who incorporated the agency's hip-hop expertise to enhance the album's quality and show a more mature and charismatic side of the group.
Continuing their momentum, TREASURE released the music video for their follow-up track 'NANLINA' on June 22. This track highlights the rapper unit HyunHaYo, consisting of members Choi Hyun Suk, Yoshi, and Haruto, blending a hip-hop vibe with EDM elements to emphasize their unique rapping styles and individuality.
The group's recent activities also include a sold-out fan concert in Seoul, held from June 19 to 21, with plans to continue their fan events in Japan next month.
