USPEER just set a new personal best — their first mini-album 'BITE DISTRICT' moved over 52,000 copies in its first week, according to Hanteo Chart data. That nearly doubles the sales of their debut single 'SPEED ZONE' from last year.
The comeback is especially sweet after a year-long hiatus. USPEER also topped the Hanteo Chart's real-time album and music charts on June 21 during their first week of promotions.
Their agency MW Entertainment said on June 24: "USPEER has achieved a career high in initial sales. We sincerely thank everyone for their love and ask for continued support." Production of 'BITE DISTRICT' was backed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency through their 'Support for Small and Medium-sized Agencies' Global Leap' project.
The title track "Wicked Game" captures the honest feelings of girls who are shy about love, built around an addictive hook and emotional sound. Fans have taken notice of USPEER's fresh concept shift and the members' polished vocals and stage presence.
Up next, the group will appear on MBC M and MBC every1's 'Show! Champion' on June 24 at 5 PM KST.
