Davichi's Kang Min Kyung has shared her stunning transformation after receiving a full "idol-style" makeup look, leaving both herself and her staff in awe.
On July 4, a video titled 'Overcoming a face slump lol' was uploaded to her personal YouTube channel. In the video, Kang Min Kyung explained she was feeling that her face and style had become "boring and dull" and decided to try both idol and actress makeup styles for a change.
For the first look, she visited a makeup artist known for working with top idols like IVE, I'sNA, and Billlie. As the makeup progressed with a brighter base, defined eyes, and idol-style hair, her appearance became noticeably younger. Referencing past plastic surgery rumors from a concert, she playfully commented, "This is makeup that's close to a procedure, so it's addictive."
Upon seeing the final result, Kang Min Kyung marveled, "My eyes got bigger, so my mid-face looks shorter too." Her staff were equally shocked, asking, "Isn't this a plastic surgery clinic?" She added humorously, "I don't think I'll be able to wash my face when I get home. It's such a waste," and joked that fans on a video call would think they had the wrong person.
Later in the video, she also received "actress makeup" from an artist who has worked with stars like Song Hye Kyo, Shin Min Ah, and Suzy. This look focused on a more natural, transparent skin finish that enhanced her original features, which she also loved.
