TWICE's Jeongyeon recently shared details about her life during her hiatus from group activities.
On August 31 KST, Jeongyeon released episode 7 of her YouTube show 'The Inspector,' titled "Got loads of Sanghwa's things only when we visited Kangnam's home to get his things?!" and featuring popular television personality Kangnam. During the episode, she spends time with Kangnam at his home, which he shares with his wife, speed skater Lee Sang Hwa,
During the episode, Kangnam mentioned that he runs a coffee shop, which surprised Jeongyeon. She then revealed, "I used to work part-time at a cafe.".
Kangnam responded, "For real? That's great news! You really worked hard. You went through part-time jobs, school, and audition all at once?"
When Jeongyeon confirmed, Kangnam let out an impressed 'wow' before adding, "And now you're a star! You should write a book."
When asked if she still remembers making drinks at the cafe, Jeongyeon disclosed, "This is something I've never told anyone yet. When I had a panic attack, I had to take a break. And during the break, I worked as a barista at my friend's coffee shop."
Kangnam reacted by saying, "You did? You didn't just stay at home. You worked."
Jeongyeon explained that she worked from 6 AM to 4 PM, to which Kangnam jokingly replied, "Wow, you worked hard. Your friend must have felt a lot of burden. How much did they pay you?" He then paused, trying to calculate the hourly rate of a TWICE member before coming up with 60 million KRW. "Your friend must be bankrupt by now," he added.
Jeongyeon assured him, "The owner was kind enough to let me work there." Kangnam humorously added, "If I had been the owner of the coffee shop...," expressing regret for not having opened his cafe sooner.
Meanwhile, Jeongyeon previously suspended her activities in 2020 due to anxiety disorder. She resumed activities in June 2021 but had to stop again after two months, which concerned fans. Since February 2022, she has been active again and is currently hosting 'The Inspector' as her own web variety show.
