I.O.I Unveils Audio Snippet for ‘I.O.I: LOOP,’ Showcasing a Decade of Memories and Musical Growth

I.O.I has offered fans a first listen to select tracks from its upcoming album.

On May 13, Swing Entertainment released an audio snippet video for I.O.I’s third mini album, 'I.O.I: LOOP,' through its official YouTube channel.

The approximately 2-minute and 28-second video captured the group’s journey through projector film frames, highlighting the narrative of I.O.I’s long-awaited return after nearly nine years.

Highlights from every track on the album were previewed in sequence. The opening track, “IOI (Where My Girls At),” delivered the group’s signature bright mood and refreshing energy.

The title track, “Suddenly,” is a synth-pop song featuring lyrics such as, “I lay down to sleep, and suddenly / I’m lost in thoughts of you,” evoking nostalgic emotions for listeners.

“SPF 100+” stood out with its lively groove, while “IF I” combined a straightforward band sound with powerful synthesizers.

The mood shifted with “Back Then, Us Now,” a warm ballad that captured listeners’ attention. Meanwhile, “Goodbye With a Smile” included recordings of the members’ voices from 2016.

‘I.O.I: LOOP’ is especially meaningful as members including Jeon Somi, Chungha, and Yoo Yeon Jung participated in writing and composing tracks, reinforcing both the significance of the group’s 10th debut anniversary and the album’s musical authenticity.

In particular, Jeon Somi contributed to the first track and the title song, while Yoo Yeon Jung and Chungha took part in creating “IF I” and “Back Then, Us Now,” respectively.

The agency stated, “We ask for your anticipation and support as fans witness the synergy of I.O.I finally reunited as one through this album.”

Meanwhile, I.O.I will officially release ‘I.O.I: LOOP’ on May 19 at 6 PM KST.
