On May 29, Taeyang unveiled the music videos for “LIVE FAST DIE SLOW” and “G.O.A.T,” showcasing contrasting emotions and cinematic storytelling through both releases.
The “LIVE FAST DIE SLOW” music video opens with Taeyang lying on top of a car, setting a free-spirited and emotional tone from the very beginning. Throughout the video, Taeyang performs while standing on the vehicle as crowds gather around him, creating a vibrant, festival-like atmosphere filled with energy and excitement.
In contrast, the “G.O.A.T” music video presents a more emotional and symbolic interpretation of the song. The video captures Taeyang submerged underwater, gazing toward the light while singing with a sorrowful expression, visually reinterpreting the deeper meaning and emotions behind the track.
Meanwhile, Taeyang’s album 'QUINTESSENCE,' released on May 18, marks his first full-length studio album in nine years and his first album release in three years since his third mini album 'Down to Earth,' which was released in April 2023. True to its title, which means “essence” and “quintessence,” the album reflects Taeyang’s distinctive musical identity and artistic depth.
